Yesterday, Justin Hoyte completed his quick but move to Middlesborough.
Just like the fans of both parties involved, Justin himself found the move that went from rumor to bid and then transfer in days as unforeseen.
“It was very strange traveling to a Champions League qualifier and being on the bench for that game and the next day coming to training and finding out I was coming to Middlesbrough, but it’s something I’m looking forward to.
“It happened so fast, I found out Boro were interested, then they’d had a bid accepted and the next day I was up here having a medical.”
Indeed, Hoyte just like Aliadiere was nurtured at Arsenal since his teen days, but never really grew into the complete player as expected. Sometimes, he looked to have broken into the first team, on other occasions, he just went to mingle with the reserves.
But for his contributions over that five-year period, Hoyte will leave with the best of wishes.
