PICTURE SPECIAL: Eduardo makes return

By Randy Osae

Eduardo da Silva made his timely, emotional and heroic return to football on Tuesday night for club’s reserves against Portsmouth.

The Croatian had been sidelined for almost 300 days but never seemed too naive with his scarce touches tonight. Eduardo played a mediocre 45 minutes of action – looking close to fully match-fit.

In his post-match interview, he said: “At the moment I’m better and feel very happy.

“I came off at half-time because I felt something in my hamstring but think I will be alright in two weeks.

“My situation with the injury was very hard but I have to forget everything bad in my life.”
