Vela not going anywhere, Adebayor is Africa’s best

Carlos Vela will simply NOT be sent out on loan again.

At this time last year, Arsenal fans were projecting the bright emergence of the Mexican starlet and Vela has finally completed a trot of loan spells in Spain to mingle with the senior Gunners this season.

Even so, the 19-year-old has not enjoyed a luxury of playing time despite impacting in almost every single appearance. His lack of chances had hinted rumors of a possible loan move which Wenger might have in sight for Vela, with West Brom and former mentors Salamanca strongly linked.

But Vela’s agent has now officially played down talks of the Mexican international being sent out again for more experience.

Eduardo Hernandez revealed what is good news considering the chunk of season ahead of Arsenal and how Vela’s efforts will be called upon.

“I can tell you for sure that Carlos is staying at Arsenal. He is not going to be sent on loan to another club. Hernandez said.

“Did Arsene Wenger tell him so? I got it from the club – this is an official announcement they made to us.

“He is in the process of development and everything is going in the right direction for Carlos.

“He is a young lad, playing more and more, getting more minutes and improving his football day in, day out.

“What is happening to Carlos is perfect for his evolution and development. He is playing better and better.”

In other matters, Emmanuel Adebayor’s outstanding 2007/08 season has earned him the accolade of African Footballer of the year at a Gala dinner in Abu Dhabi earlier this week.

The Togolese’s prolific form in front of goal – despite not leading Arsenal to silverware – is arguably what brought Arsenal ever so close to glory last year.

Adebayor can now add this prize to his BBC African Footballer of the Year award which he scooped at a similar time last year.

  1. Yo Randy (or someone else), is it possible if you put up a link for a live stream from the Arsenal – Bolton game before the match? last time I found it out pretty late you know, but thanks anyway. And btw im glad Adebayor is chosen as the best from africa, he deserves it and maybe vela must be loaned out (or bendtner) because, when the injured players come back (plus maybe transfers ) he and bendtner shouldend count on to much playing time (except if players get injured again or sold)…

  2. Risje, as you know I always stream LIVE games…so don’t even worry.
